We recently read a book titled, A cool drink of water. We discussed how people around the world have a need for clean drinking water and get it in a variety of ways. We use learning opportunities throughout our day to bring in the "it's ok that we're different" angle.
Ryan
The Disneyfied TeacherThe Disneyfied Teacherhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10297390189676955515noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6094238410573133520.post-59517956197952942242015-04-06T18:32:13.547-05:002015-04-06T18:32:13.547-05:00I would love a copy of this book. I have used Maria's books within my K-5 classes and students can remember those books for years. One diversity lesson I teach is reading the story Zink the Zebra where students learn compassion, respect and friendship towards one another. Maria's books are great and can't wait to read more with my students!
