I've heard of
and using my MAC.
I just want to do a little research before I spend any money on monthly subscriptions. Animoto used to provide educators with a free 6 months. My subscription just ran out and I need to reapply if they are still providing the free subscription. I'm very new to everything MAC but wouldn't mind learning if you recommend Photo-booth or iMOVIE. Please share your video making secrets.
Thanks :)
iMovie is SO EASY!!! I don't know about the other programs, but the hubs and I put together slide shows for our kids' bdays in a couple of days (a few hours a day :) using iMovie.

Hippo Hooray for Second Grade!
Thanks Angela! Can't wait to give it a try. :)
ReplyDeleteI use iDVD on my Mac. You can drag and drop pictures from iPhoto and add songs from iTunes...it is so easy and it makes burning DVDs a cinch too! I use it each year for my end of year DVDs. Good luck!

I use iMovie to make my end of the year DVD. So easy to just drag and drop pictures, songs, and video.

I like imovie as well! It's fun!
ReplyDeleteSmilebox is very easy to use and offers free subscription for teachers. Good luck!
ReplyDeleteIMovie is indeed very easy. It really is fun and very addictive! Last year's DVD had 11 songs on it...I know...out of control! If you get stuck just send me an e-mail and I would be glad to help. And it sounds like you can get a lot of help from all your friends and fans. Good luck...let me know if you have questions! kschubert@hampton.k12.va.us
ReplyDeleteI have always used PhotoStory. I have purchased the extra download to turn the photostory into a dvd. I give a dvd to each of my students. It has always worked well for me. Plus it's a free download.

Also if you just want to make a photo slideshow, you can use the slideshow feature on iPhoto. It's really easy to use and comes with pre-made themes. I use it all the time!

iMovie is very user friendly! I use it with my students all the time. We've made several movies this year, both slide shows and "live action" movies. Let me know if I can help in any way!

iMovie is very easy to use. But if you want something even more simple iPhoto does a very nice job too. You just can't manipulate everything that you can in iMovie.
