We had so much fun studying rocks the past two weeks. We started by reading Let's Go Rock Collecting. They had so much fun collecting rocks in egg cartons. We also watched some cute videos on youtube and ended the unit with yummy ROCK food. I think metamorphic was a huge hit.
We also completed the gallon man and watched a neat video on Gallon Land.
I did a little shopping for End of the Year gifts for teachers and volunteers. Bath and Body works has some great new scents and some great SALES.
Since FCAT is over we can finally have recess again! We love the new gym equipment from Lakeshore Learning.
I had $49 from Office Depot Teacher Rewards so I bought some new pens and post its. What's your favorite school supply? Leave me a comment for a chance to win some extra goodies I have picked up this week. I'll pick one winner on May 10th.
Hmmm, my favorite school supply has to be Flair Pens. Love them! Mr. Sketch scented markers are fun, too. I also love Post-its, especially the ones with the lines on them (for kiddos to use). Oh, and stickers too! How do I pick just one favorite school supply??

You are always so generous sharing your goodies with others! What is your new favorite BBW scent? I think I might head there tomorrow for some goodies! I wish we had an Office Max here nut all we have is Staples. I like Staples but their rewards aren't very generous. My favorite school supplies are Mr. Sketch markers because if the chisel tip but I love Scentos products too!

I am loving reading all the teaching BLOGS on the net just now. Here in the UK we don't really BLOG about teaching in the way that you do. I have set up my own class blog, twitter and instagram account so that I can get started when my maternity leave ends. My favourite school supply has to be sharpie pens. I <3 them! I really like the tiny little ones that i can clip onto my computer data pen. I've even got my 3 year old shouting 'Will I get the Sharpie for you!'
ReplyDeleteI love the rock activities (and I bet the kids did too!!). Great idea to stock up on the Bath and Body Works soaps-might be just what I need for my end of the year parent helper gift!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite school supplies are post-its, glue sticks and pencils. I know that's strange, but my school hasn't ordered any of them for months! I'm also addicted to fine tip markers for correcting and stickers.
Have a great week!

The Resourceful Apple
If colored ink counted, it is definitely something I purchase most on my own. Otherwise, laminating pouches, post its, flair pens...pretty sure I will still shop for school supplies when my teaching career is over - love!

I love colored pens and markers. Thanks for sharing!

I love that Gallon Land video! Will be great to show as a review before testing. My favorite school supply is most definitely Flair pens!! I grade all my papers with them. LOVE THEM! :)

Funny I bought some soaps for my kids' day care teachers and I completely forgot about it until I saw your post! I went with an apple theme for a twist on "an apple for the teacher." One can never have too many Bath and Body Works soaps!
ReplyDeleteWe don't do capacity anymore, but I love Gallon Man. My favorite supply would be flair pens. My student teacher managed to swipe a few of mine.

Suntans and Lesson Plans
Boring, but necessary: white out correction tape. I write my lessons in pen, and refuse to write over mistakes! Needed a ton recently, as I let the second graders use pen to write their final copy poems...you can imagine how often I pulled it out that week!
