Candy Galore and Saturday Snapshots

Saturday I didn't post pictures because I was too busy shopping and having fun with friends and family. I think I'll just leave the link up for a month at a time because I'm always late to everything. This way you can post any time you get a chance. Before I show you some of my pictures from this past week please take time to watch this video. It's so amazing. You may have seen it but if you haven't you will LOVE this sweet story.

Happy, Happy, Happy

Yesterday everything went wrong. It was one of THOSE days. I was late for work. I left my phone at school. Missed an appointment.. the list went on! I was just not feeling it until I got home. My SLANT box arrived!!!! It's so much fun finding a box on your doorstep. It sure did brighten my day. I was paired with Ashley and Jameson.  Ashley from The Balancing Act I Call Life picked out the best items. She definitely knows how to shop. I loved the fact that she knew I liked Menchies, polka dots, and Mexican food. She included a gift card to my favorite yogurt place. Yup... it was my dinner last night. I'm in LOVE with the polka dot clipboard, fall decor, and the cute stickers. If you haven't signed up on Lessons with Coffee ... I would go do that right now. This was my second month participating and boy it's been so much FUN! I can't wait until October.

Today I had a half day sub and was able to go shopping for Fall decorations with my sister. We headed to Hobby Lobby and LOWES with this little bumblebee. It was a great afternoon full of decorating and pumpkin hiding. Yes... we hid pumpkins like Easter eggs. Anything to keep these two happy. The Florida heat wasn't too bad this afternoon. SCORE!

PJ kinda day

I'm loving that today I have nothing planned. NOTHING! I may even stay in my pjs all day. The last four weeks have been so hectic with Open House, First Lady visit, Pirate Day, and progress reports. I'm ready for a break...I'm getting excited for fall break. We are headed up to Asheville and hoping to get that fall feel. Right now NC is 14 degrees cooler than my town.

Saturday and Sunday we made a quick trip to Biloxi. We couldn't pass up a free suite. I had a blast because they were having a seafood festival so I snagged some awesome door hangers and cute classroom decor. Giveaway soon!

These little superheroes were excited that Gigi bought them some new costumes. They really know how to play fight!

The Quiet Game is the best FREE app ever! Seriously my kids LOVE it. They are silent when I pull out my phone.

Ships and Sailors class building game on Pirate Day. The students learned it at some gymnastic camp this summer. Now they love to play it at recess. 

We are loving our new seat pouches from happi-nappi. What an investment but so worth it! They are so durable.

Why Do Pirates Wear Eye Patches? We had so much fun making our predictions. Check out the video below to find the real reason. We also learned that pirates believed that wearing earrings gave them better eyesight. Today was filled with pirate stations as it was Talk Like a Pirate Day!

I have a little boy who just loves Jake and the Never Land Pirates. You should have seen him singing along. TOO cute!


I used many FREE tpt units by searching pirates and found a great pirate dictionary. We played ships and sailors, made oil pastel pirates, wore glitter tattoos, read many pirate books and even had cupcakes.
