Currently

This weekend has consisted of lying in bed all day and only getting up for a saline wash or more tissues. UGH! I hope this is my one time getting accustomed to the new germs in the classroom. I'm linking up with Farley for September currently tonight.  Hope everyone else had a nice 3 day weekend.

I'm going back to bed because even typing this has been a challenge.
Hopefully when I awake I'll be better.
Leave me your best get well secret for a chance to win ANY behavior bead set.

I'm loving this sweet comment that I received from Kim last night.

I cannot TELL you how excited I am to start the school year this Tuesday. Thanks to you Miss Nelson! You are a genius! The behavior beads are brilliant and I am completely obsessed. I downloaded all the free ones you had (thank you for those) and bought a few more. I also decided to try my hand at making a few of my own that were personalized to my specific class/school. I'm excited at how they look in addition to your awesome creations!!! I just love the badge idea. People LOVE getting badges. My students are always playing games on the educational websites so they can earn 'badges', heck I play games on Pogo...always trying to get the next 'badge'. I am also a Girl Scout leader and so I know all about those badges too. People LOVE getting badges. My friends just went to Yellowstone with their kids, and they earned all kinds of badges from the rangers for completing tasks. Miss Nelson, once again I have to tell you how genius this is! My kids are going to be COMPETING with one another all year to see who gets the most badges. I'm giggling out loud just thinking about it. I'm going to start everyone off with a welcome back badge and a name badge. I'm can't wait to see how long it takes for the buzz to go around the school. You know this is going to drive the other classes crazy.. they are gonna want them too. Don't worry Miss Nelson, I am making sure everyone knows WHO I got this AMAZING idea from and will be directing them to TPT so they can get their own. I will keep you posted on how it's working out. I hope you don't feel I was taking away from your creation by making some of my own. I just couldn't resist, they are just too fun, and the options are limitless. Thank you, thank you, thank you. Finally a reward that isn't going to cost me a fortune or involve candy. Have a great start of the year.  - Kim

  2. I go through ink like it is water. I have found ink relatively cheap on Amazon! And it is actually really good...a little leaky until you get it in the printer then wonderful!

I hope you feel better...I have already had my back-to-school cold!

  3. I swear by Airborne. If you start to take it right when you feel like you are getting sick--you don't. I really hope you feel better-it should be against the law to be sick already! Back around all those germs again I guess. I think it's amazing how your ratio of boys to girls can make such a difference!

  4. Poor thing, I hate being sick AND being sick at the beginning of the year...yuck! I've yet to develop the 'Immune System of Steel' that most teachers have, so when you find the secret be sure to blog about it!!!

  6. OH NO!!!! feel better soon!!! I don't really have a secret... I use the nose spray flush thingy instead of the pouring pot... just a preference and I take really hot showers and at night I smear vicks under my nose... probably not recommended on the label but hey I am still here and it helps me breathe.

  11. So sorry to hear you are still feeling bad. I can relate somewhat as I have had a stuffy nose and watery eyes this weekend. I am feeling much better today though! I pray you feel better soon! What a sweet comment you shared. I too am planning to try to unplug by 9:00 or 9:15 and spend some time reading each night. I love to read and used to do so much more before computers came along...:) Have a wonderful week!
